YOUR FAVORITE DUTCH OVEN: A perfect combination of style and practicality that never quits. The Lodge Dutch Oven not only enhances the appearance of your kitchen but also serves as a timeless enameled cast iron cookware for preparing and serving memorable meals. Broil, braise, bake or roast your preferred dishes in the oven up to 500 Degree F.
WHAT IS PORCELAIN ENAMEL ON CAST IRON. It is a glass that becomes bonded to the cast iron when exposed to high temperatures. A glass particle, referred to as frit, is applied to the cast iron vessel and then baked at temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1400° F. The frit melts and fuses with the cast iron, creating a strong connection. Porcelain enamel on cast iron is heat-resistant and impermeable to water and other substances.
EASY TO COOK AND CLEAN: The smooth porcelain enameled interior minimizes sticking, enhances caramelization, and resists staining. While enameled cast iron is safe for dishwashers, it is recommended to hand wash with warm soapy water and a nylon scrub brush to maintain the Dutch Oven in excellent condition.
HEAT RETENTION: The cast iron vessel excels in distributing and retaining heat, ensuring even heating throughout both the bottom and sidewalls. The tight-fitting lid seals in moisture for delectable pot roast, stews, or a generous batch of beans. Our heat retention capabilities also reduce energy consumption during cooking.
FAMILY-OWNED: Lodge is more than just a business; it is a family. The Lodge family established the company in 1896 and continues to own it to this day.
